TMCC is a football tournament amongst Mekong countries initiated by Toyota in 2014 under the Toyota Mekong Football Project. It is in its second year now. It was started with the idea of connecting the passion and energy of football with Toyota’s constant pursuit to bring ‘ever better’ cars to customers.

“We knew the Cambodian side would be dangerous on the counter, and I had told my players there are no easy games at this level. But I'm happy we were strong enough to win this latest trophy." said Alexandre Torreira Da Gama Lima, Head Coach for Buriram United.

“Toyota would like to congratulate Buriram United for winning the championship but we would also like to show our appreciation towards the other teams. All of them have exemplified passion and sportsmanship befitting of champions and TMCC had a great run this year,” said Mr. Kyoichi Tanada, Managing Officer of Toyota Motor Corporation and President of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific “Toyota hopes to continue enriching the lives of the communities in the Mekong region and strengthen our long-standing partnership with the community.

Boeung Ket Angkor FC’s coach shared that, "We knew we would have a difficult task against Buriram. But I'm proud of my team for pushing one of Asia's best teams so far." Boeung Ket Angkor showed the splendid team spirits in the game and fought an event fight in the final. The team went its way through to the final after the matches with representatives from Lao, Myanmar and Vietnam. “It was a really remarkable achievement in our football history that Boeung Ket Angkor played the final of Toyota Mekong Club Championship which is intense international tournament”, said a Cambodian fan after the final match. Also, another great achievement to Cambodian side was added by Chan Vathanaka through winning MVP of TMCC in 2015.
